Reading the numbers
Compare the five main numbers separately from the red Powerball. The jackpot requires all five main numbers and the Powerball. Do not count a red-ball match as an extra main-number match.

Which draw date should I use?
US results use the US draw date. Late-evening Eastern Time is the following morning in the UK; daylight-saving changes can alter the time difference. Start with the date and market printed on your ticket, then select that draw in the official archive.

Annuity and cash value
US jackpot winners can choose an annuity of 30 increasing payments over 29 years or a cash payment. The advertised US amounts are before tax; the annuity headline is not the cash amount.

US Powerball and UK Powerball
The US and UK share the jackpot pool, while lower-tier prizes are administered separately. UK jackpot winners do not have the US cash option. A US dollar headline should not be copied onto a UK result as a simple currency conversion.

Checking a ticket
Use the official archive to select the draw on your ticket, then compare the main and special-number groups separately. Confirm the applicable prize and claim requirements with the operator that issued the ticket. This guide and our UK number checker do not validate international tickets.
Game rules and schedules can change. The review date above refers to this guide, not the most recent draw.
